A 14-year-old youth who Ottawa police asked the public to help find last week has been located.
"The missing 14-year-old youth we asked for help to locate on October 8th has been located safe and sound," the Ottawa Police Service said in an update posted to its website.
Police had issued a public appeal for assistance in finding the teen on Oct. 8. The service did not release further details about the circumstances of the youth's disappearance or how they were located.
"We thank the public and media for their assistance," the police service said.
No additional information was provided, and police say no further assistance is needed.
