Ottawa police have released a composite sketch of a man they are trying to identify in connection with a sexual assault at a dog park in Orléans.

The incident took place at Heritage Dog Park, located at 6160 Orléans Boulevard, at about 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

The sketch, issued by the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit on Friday, shows a man investigators describe as Black, in his late 20s to early 30s, standing approximately 5'9" to 6'2" tall with a fit, muscular build.

He has a gap in his teeth and shoulder-length styled locs, and he may have a wandering eye, the Ottawa Police Service said. He spoke English with no noticeable accent and was wearing beige or light-coloured clothing and a headband at the time of the incident.

The description matches details police first released on June 23, when investigators asked residents and businesses for video surveillance and dash cam footage from the area around the park. The composite sketch is the latest update in the investigation, which began with an appeal for witnesses on the evening of the assault.

Police appeal for witnesses
