Ottawa police are asking for the public's help locating a missing 13-year-old girl who was last seen at an east-end shopping centre Monday morning.

Thirteen-year-old Lily Brierley was last seen at the Place d'Orléans Shopping Centre at 110 Place d'Orléans Drive on the morning of Monday, Nov. 2, according to the Ottawa Police Service. Police said there are concerns for her health and safety.

Lily is described as an East Indian female, approximately 5'2" tall, with long black hair and black glasses.

Police said she was last seen wearing a black turtleneck sweater and khaki pants, and carrying a burgundy JanSport backpack.

Anyone with information about Lily's whereabouts is asked to contact the East Division staff sergeant at 613-236-1222, extension 3212.

The Ottawa Police Service issued the appeal in a news release Monday evening, released for immediate distribution at 6:30 p.m.

Police are also encouraging residents to register their information and security camera locations at CAMSafe.ca, a program the service says helps support investigations and make communities safer.

In addition, members of the public can view, download and interact with data released by the Ottawa Police Service through its Community Safety Data Portal at data.ottawapolice.ca.

The service reminded residents that 613-236-1222 is its non-emergency line, while a TTY line at 613-232-1123 is available for people who are deaf, deafened or hard of hearing.
